FlexC™ Dead-Length Collet Blocks are Ideal for either horizontal or vertical machining and are the lowest profile blocks available. This provides maximum tool clearance, allowing for the ability to machine tall workpieces, alongside having a maximum working pressure of 2000 PSI, ensuring superior rigidity with no pushback or rotation. The collet block accepts round smooth, round serrated, hex, square and emergency collets, which can be changed out in seconds using a quick-change wrench.
Tri-Grip Collet Blocks are ideal for either horizontal or vertical machining. Their maximum input pressure reaches 5000 PSI, providing ample grip for all your workholding needs. With a compact design, simplified plumbing and "accessible-from-the-top" collet locking screw, this is the ideal option for those seeking faster setup and infinite collet/part orientation.
By using the fail-safe collet block, you eliminate the requirement for air during the cutting process in your vertical and horizontal machines. This allows you to maintain concentricity while removing the risk of downtime or waste if a loss of air should occur. The Hardinge fail-safe design is open, allowing coolant and chips to be blown out rather than building up, reducing the need to clean out the unit.
Our high-pressure hydraulic collet blocks feature operating pressures up to 5,000 PSI, with holding forces generated by the draw tube being 1.9 times the applied line pressure, allowing for extremely high clamping forces. All models feature the dead-length design to maintain a consistent length from part-to-part, alongside precision-bored orientation holes which are located in the base for thru-mounting.
These solid units are made from pure aircraft aluminium, with the force generated by the draw tube reaching 7.5 times the line pressure applied and the unit allowing for working pressures of up to 150 PSI. Can be found with the standard thru-hole design.
These heavy-duty, but compact steel units feature hardened steel bushings for long-lasting, trouble-free service and are designed for use with pneumatic service up to 250 PSI or hydraulic service up to 750 PSI. The draw tube force can be up to 23 times the line pressure, which maximizes the gripping force available.
